Staff Use of Personal Phone and PSCC Tablet Agreement
As an employee of Peppermint Stick Children’s Center, I understand that a part of my role will be to document children's activities.
Definition - The term “Portable Computing Device” or “PCD” shall mean and be inclusive of all laptops, tablets, kindles or other similar hand-held computing devices. A laptop shall include any portable computer including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh platforms. Other hand-held computing devices shall include all Personal Data Assistants (“PDA”) and electronic organizers using the Blackberry, Palm or Windows operating systems, as well as hand-held computer tablets and other microcomputers. Any such device including all desktop computers that are provided by PSCC shall be utilized for e-mail communication, internet access, and running appropriate instructional or administrative software applications only.
PCD/Tablet Rules & Procedures
Permissions for cell phones:
I have permission from my employer to use my personal phone for school documentation under the following conditions: (Please use tablet as first option to limit cell phone use in the classroom. If the tablet is not working correctly you must get permission from the Director prior to using you cell phone. The Director will work to fix or replace the tablet as soon as possible.)
**Non-compliance with any policies or procedures regarding Employee Tablets, computers and use of personal cell phones will result in appropriate disciplinary action and/or reimbursement of any and all costs to Peppermint Stick Children’s Center

PCD/Tablet Rules & Procedures
- After the teacher clocks in they can retrieve their designated tablet from the charging station located in the office.
- When the closing teacher closes the classroom or combines classrooms, the teacher will put the tablet back on the charging station.
- Tablet cases are to remain on at all times.
- Take precautions and care of the tablet, like it is your own.
- Not for personal use. (No facebook, personal email, personal pictures, non educational apps, etc.)
- Please do not install any games for the children- for teacher use only.
- May be used for Brightwheel and educational purposes only.
- Keep tablet locked and secured when not being used.
- Keep food and drinks away from the device.
- Inform the director if you are having any technical issues with the tablet
- Should the tablet be lost or stolen, the employee MUST: (i) immediately report the incident to his/her Director
- PSCC may add security and other tracking technology to the devices and any and all such usage is subject to Director review, monitoring and auditing by PSCC.
- Persons not directly employed by PSCC including, but not limited to, students, volunteers, retired employees, employees hired on a per diem basis or consultants, or employees on extended leave or with an employment status of ‘inactive” shall not be eligible for use of Brightwheel without direct permission from the owners of PSCC.

- I may install the Brightwheel on my phone
- I may place the Brightwheel mobile web icon on my phone's home screen
- I have permission to use the school's Wifi on my phone ONLY for Brightwheel documentation
- I may take photos and/or videos of the children's activities
- I may use Brightwheel to upload those photos & videos to the children's online accounts
- I may use Brightwheel to document and tag my entries of the children's activities
- I am REQUIRED to delete any/all photos/videos taken at work from my phone with the following regularity: Monthly
- I may NOT use my phone to make personal phone calls while on the clock
- I may NOT use my phone to text while on the clock
- I may NOT use my phone to do social media while on the clock
- I may NOT use my phone to browse the web or in any other way conduct personal activities while on the clock
**Non-compliance with any policies or procedures regarding Employee Tablets, computers and use of personal cell phones will result in appropriate disciplinary action and/or reimbursement of any and all costs to Peppermint Stick Children’s Center
