Mandatory Trainings:
Every year Columbus Day (October) & Presidents Day (February) is MANDATORY staff training day. These 2
days you will have to arrange for alternative child care if you children attend Peppermint. (We are closed to the
public).
The employee is responsible to obtain 20 hours of continuing education/training in early childhood topics every year. It is also your responsibility to obtain a Gateways Registry Membership at https://registry.ilgateways.com/ and maintain an up to date online Professional Development Record (PDR), including self-report trainings, and renewing your Registry Membership annually.

As an employee at Peppermint Stick Children's Center we are always striving to learn, grow, and be up to date on the top researched based education and learning styles. Each employee is to put in 25 hours of extra training and development a year. Some of these hours are mandatory staff training days, meetings, seminars, webinars, and reading informational articles.
